NSNA 34th Mid-Year Conference KCMO
Secretary Sydney Bryant of Tri-C Student Nurses Association represented Tri-C and Ohio in Kansas City, MO for the National Student Nurses Association Annual Mid-Year Conference.
She received a certification from The American Red Cross in Shelter and Disaster Training to be able to volunteer in shelter housing and a certificate of completion from participating in the ethnics forum. She attended the Treasurer, Secretary and NCLEX Mini Review Workshops. She was invited to Baja, Mexico on a mission trip and made multiple networking connections from nursing students and nurses in different states.
She also met Nurse Kelley Johnson who was crowned Miss Colorado in 2015 and second runner-up for Miss American in 2015. In September 2015, Nurse Kelley was the root of controversy when the cast of the show The View made fun of her monologue, uniform and stethoscope. Ellen Degrense invited Nurse Kelley on her talk show where at the end she gave her $10,000 to start nurse anesthetist school.
Secretary Sydney encourages every nursing student to attend the NSNA Annual conference in Dallas, TX in April 2017. The opportunities and networking connections are endless!
